Through my education and experience in Sales, Marketing and general business I have found there are many strategies, processes, and theories that well, just don’t work in real life! You have to start from the ground up. So many “best practices” jump straight to the end goal without even supplying the stable ground they were built upon.
When I began building my plan for my business I realized I needed a straight-forward process to work through each client’s needs from the ground up. A process that made sense for each potential client no matter the industry, year in business, or annual profits. Let me walk you through my process…
Where is your business now on measurements of success? What is going well and what needs to improve?
We start with the “check yourself” process. This is where you are honest with yourself about where your business is now and where you want it to go. We will discuss on a high level what you measure as a “success” for your business and see where you are in relation to that.
What are you really good at already versus what do you need to learn to be successful with your Marketing and Advertising versus outsource all together?
With this step, we take a deeper dive into the good, the bad, and the ugly. I want to know what you feel confident is creating business for your company and where you know you need improvements. I firmly believe that there are no dumb questions. We all can’t know everything! Focus on the tasks that make sense for you to master and outsource the rest.
What do you want to achieve for your business? Short-term and long-term? What’s your BIG goal?
First, remember it is ok to dream. It saddens me that we were often told as children to “dream bigger” and “you can be whatever you want to be”, but not soon after, we were told to be realistic and down to earth. Well, I’m here to tell you to keep dreaming. Think outside what’s expected or “the norm”. I want to hear the dreams for your business that make you smile as you say them. The kind of dreams that make you uncomfortable to think about the amount of work it will take to get there. THOSE are your “BIG” goals.
Establish daily, weekly, monthly, quarterly and annual goals that are realistic and measurable. Plan your goals with purpose.
Planning. I love to plan but I know that is not the case for everyone. However, in order for your Marketing Strategy to succeed, you must have a plan and a schedule to execute said plan. As we build your Marketing plan we will ensure you have measurable goals and a plan to monitor those goals as well.
